El parque de Wolvendael en Uccle, una de las zonas más selectas de Bruselas, acogerá este viernes la inauguración del primer bar dedicado al "mejor amigo del hombre": un establecimiento que ofrecerá menús bajos en sal ideados por dietistas y una cerveza especial para perros.

Los propietarios de más de un centenar de canes han confirmado la asistencia de sus mascotas al evento, que reunirá a ejemplares de raza habituales en desfiles, canes policía y lo más "exclusivo" del mundo canino belga.

La especialidad del Toutou bar, que estará abierto todo el verano, será la cerveza Red Dog, una bebida sin alcohol con un sutil gusto a hueso, especialmente concebida para esos animales y que cuesta tres euros la botella.

La base de la misma es idéntica a la de la cerveza sin alcohol, aunque en ella se deja macerar un hueso con su tuétano.

"Muchas personas que pasean a sus perros se paran para tomar una copa, pero no hay nada previsto para sus animales", indicó el responsable del proyecto, Bernard Schol, para explicar cómo nació la idea.

El menú incluye pastas, arroz salvaje, verduras o hamburguesas de carne de buey y de pollo, todos los platos pobres en sal y ricos en fibra.
Asimismo, el bar ofrece paquetes de comida para llevar, con juguete para perros incluido y permite organizar fiestas especiales para las mascotas.

El dueño y su animal de compañía podrán incluso compartir el plato si así lo desean, ya que todos los menús son aptos para el consumo humano.
